Degree/MSc in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related disciplines
- Relevant software development experience respectively as follows:
- Clear understanding and experience of:
o J2EE (JDK 1.5 and above) and enterprise Design Patterns; and / or
o J2SE and SWINGX / AWT application design and development; and / or
o Design and development of secured J2EE application software for Defense / Banking environment
- Knowledge or experience of logistics or supply chain systems
- In-depth understanding of Oracle RDBMS, data modeling, database hosted business rules development e.g. PL/SQL, SQLJ, Transact-SQL, or similar and a proven ability to improve SQL performance
- Experience of RAD methodologies in a Java and EJB environment
Familiarity with Struts, Java GUI and other Frameworks, J2EE application servers (Weblogic, Websphere, JBoss)
- Strong working knowledge of OO analysis, design and development
- Experience in all aspects of the SDLC, particularly in web-based distributed systems in a Software Product Development environment
- Good written and oral communications skills in English.
- Creative, pro-active and resourceful
- Good team player with positive working attitude
- Rules-based programming, expert systems, workflow systems, message-oriented middleware or service-oriented architectures
Duration: 6 months
Salary: negotiable
