FIELD ENGINEER
Description
Field Engineer within the area of technical service, to cover all technical issues within the Marlink Business Area.
- Install, service and maintain satellite communications systems on board our customer’s vessels in port and at sea.
- Field Service’s resource in Asia and our representative in the Singapore office – support the local sales persons and the customer consultants with technical issues in their daily operation
- Finalizing, assembly, testing and repair of satellite equipment.
- Phone and e-mail support – ‘technical helpdesk’.
- Arrange and coordinate service attendance with other Marlink departments and towards the customer.
- Set up IT systems and/or LAN on board customer vessels to work with our satellite terminals.
Work Location:
- Singapore. Travel extensively to customer sites/vessels in the Singapore region and China, Korea and other mostly Asian countries – sometimes on short notice. 175 travel days / year. When not in the field, the Field Engineer will work from the Singapore office.
