Facilities Buyer

Responsibilities:
1) Directly reporting to the Capital Purchasing Manager and will be responsible for the procurement of capital facilities goods & services for the Fab Plant in Malaysia.
- Contractor/suppier management building relationships, understanding/using vendor strengths/weaknesses, supporting vendor and company’s needs/demands

Requirements:

- The candidate is responsible for strategic sourcing, development and management at regional level.
- To effectively develop suppliers by supply chain strategy for the commodities responsible.

Position A:
- The incumbent will work with a team of technical specialists in the development and construction of gas facilities.
- Responsible for the planning, coordination, design, engineering, construction and commissioning of gas facilities.
- Monitor the progress of work and ensure that the project is completed within schedule and budget.
- Liaise and attend meetings with authorities, services agencies, third parties etc in handling all aspects related to the development of the gas facility.
- Ensure the relevant codes, standards and specifications are strictly adhered to and all safety procedures are complied with.
- Prepare specifications for procurement and call for tenders/quotations.
Position B:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of gas pipelines and related facilities to ensure safe and reliable operation of the gas network

- Ensure the adequate stocking of spares for routine maintenance and emergencies.
