ONLINE COPY WRITER – USER INTERFACE [FULL-TIME]
(Singapore)
Responsibilities:
The Online Copywriter is responsible to provide quality services to the User Interface and Information Architecture team and other business units by ensuring that copy writing projects are completed to specifications, on time, and within budget.
- Develop and maintain copy for the Online Style Guide based on current corporate design guidelines
- Prepare online support tools, such as Online Help, Quick Demos, Guided Tour, and context specific help
- Generate copy for websites, CD-ROMs, or applications, in accordance with approved methodologies & standards and online best practices
- Amend, revise, and/or redevelop copy in response to feedback from the team or business units
- Contribute to linguistic quality and consistency through process control and sampling
- Offer creative and QC assistance to other departments in copy writing
- Assist in the organization and structure of information by preparing Information Architecture and Screen Prototypes of online and e-commerce products
- Present and participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions with team and business units
- Contribute to the development & achievement of continuous improvement goals
- Complete occasional design work using Photoshop and HTML
Requirements:Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- A Bachelor Degree in Journalism, Communications, or related discipline from an accredited University
- 2-3 years of Online Copywriting experience in a business environment
- Experience in operating in multi-cultural environments with understanding of online products for an international audience
- Strong understanding of application and business workflows in a Corporate and B2B environment
- A proven track record and expertise in Web Applications with User Interface for an International audience
- Basic knowledge of HTML and Photoshop
- Understanding of the different requirements for print and online copywriting
- Fluent in spoken and written English, native speaker preferred

- Excellent written & oral communication skills, as well as consultative and presentation skills
- Strong organization skill and extreme attention to details of copy and related work
- Team player who is able to provide and receive feedback positively
- Proactive attitude, capable of thinking in and out of the box, generating new ideas and solutions
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, issues and goals
- Ability to write (and spell) using American English
- Comfortable in interacting with all levels in the organization, as well as management and staff from different nationalities
